Ypres and The Somme Tour - 5 to 9 August 219
"It was a privilege to be shown around by someone who was so enthusiastic about everything. I learnt so much, and you gave me the time to look around, ask questions, and nothing was too much." David, St Ives, Cambridgshire

Presentation - stories behind names on the local War Memorial - 23 February 2023
“We were so pleased when David agreed to talk to our village history group. His talk focused on four of the names inscribed on our war memorial - their biographies, records of service, the background and context of the engagements in which they were lost.
His meticulous research, professional delivery, as well as his lively yet sensitive handling of a most sombre subject made for one of the best received events we’ve ever held. His measured pace and talent for never losing the human scale of monumental tragedy are second to none." Dan, Secretary Willingham History Group, Cambridgeshire

Britain at War Workshop - stories behind names on the local War Memorial - 15 July 2023
"The workshop was thoroughly and sensitively researched. David had acquired a deep and vast knowledge of the information he was researching with the children. He had an excellent grasp of the websites and was able to direct and support children in their research journey. He used a range of appropriate and interesting props to spike and maintain the children’s interest. He spent time with children individually to support and guide them, ensuring every child was successful in their research. I would highly recommend David for a Britain at War/World War I workshop for Year 6 pupils."
Claire, Assistant Headteacher/Science Lead, St John's CE Primary School, Friern Barnet, London

Introduction to the RAF Pathfinder Force - 2 March 2024
"What a fantastically interesting and moving day. Many thanks, David." Adam , Duxford Big Wing Independent Company History Group,
"The Pathfinder tour was well planned with the intention of making it as personal as possible. The staff at the heritage centre were friendly and knowledgeable. The personal nature of the exhibits is fascinating and the two hours we had at the centre flew by. At Cambridge City Cemetery, David provided an overview of the CWGC settings and timeline by walking us through different WW1, Dominion, and personal plots before arriving at the Air Force Plot. The stories of one Pathfinder crew, along with supporting photos made it very personal and continued the theme of the day. This tour is highly recommended!" Nigel, Duxford Big Wing Independent Company History Group

" We were given the history of the Pathfinder squadrons and the parts they played in the war. After this, we visited the Commonwealth War Graves in the Cambridge cemetery, followed by refreshments in the Eagle pub (RAF Bar). Our guide for the day was first class and explained everything clearly and concisely. An enjoyable day out." David, St Ives, Cambridgeshire
